Suburban ProgramUpdatedSaturday November 14, 2015 byRon Lewandowski.
The boys and girls Suburban basketball programs are competitive travel teams. Coaches are appointed by the EBA. Coaches conduct tryouts, make cuts and have full discretion on team selection and playing time. Players must attend at least one tryout date to be considered for the team with attendance to both dates strongly encouraged. Team size maximum is 12 players. Playing time is not automatic and players may get more or less playing time than others. If equal playing time is a concern, please register for our excellent recreation programs.
The Suburban program is a significant time commitment. For those making the team, we expect full participation in all team activities. The teams typically practice twice per week from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm at the Williston Northampton School. Each team is subject to the league rules in which they play. A typical season consists of one pre-season tournament, 16 regular season games (8 home and 8 away) and single elimination playoffs.
You MUST register and pay the suburban registration fee prior to tryout; however, if your player does not make the team you will receive a full refund or your payment will be adjusted to the recreation fee if you decide to play in the recreation league. The registration fee includes a team warm up jersey; however, it does NOT include the cost of the game uniform. Typical uniform cost is approximately $65 (subject to change) and it must be paid when ordering the uniform.
